On Sunday 29 March 2009, Autogrill Belux invited their 16 families, sponsored by now, to their first "Family Event". Autogrill management staff and collaborators experienced together with "their" families a unique and memorable afternoon. During this occasion, the opportunity was taken to present the yearly "Best Fundraising Team 2008" certificates that were handed out by their Beyond the Moon children.

"Beyond the Moon is part of our corporate social responsibility policy. It is a way of showing our social commitment. With this family event, it was for once possible to be in contact with the families and the children to whom we offered happy moments. This is a reward for our work!" said Jean-Paul Van Avermaet, Managing Director.

We are very grateful to Linklaters for their confidence and generous gift, which helps guaranteeing the continuity of our mission. Even during these difficult times, the number of wish referrals from hospitals unfortunately does not decrease. Therefore, their contribution will be dedicated to underprivileged families with a sick child, who cannot wait for better times, but now need to be able to benefit from quality time together.

Wyndham Hotel Group (www.wyndhamworldwide.com) also further expands its loyal support through working out a simple fundraising idea involving its hotel suppliers. A Suppliers Directory featuring its recommended suppliers has been developed. The suppliers have been invited to support Beyond the Moon by contributing a percentage of their listing fee, which is charged to feature in the directory. To date €6,786 has been raised on behalf of 34 suppliers. The Suppliers Directory will be updated every year with new suppliers and will continue to support Beyond the Moon with an annual donation based on the number of new suppliers signed up.
